Full Name: Mikaela Burroughs (Kay) Age: 20 Gender: Female Riding Level: Advanced Appearance: Kay is a tad an on the tall side for a girl. She stands about 5’11” with most of her height coming from her legs. She’s always been tall for her age, so it’s something she’s learned to adapt to. Being on the tomboyish side, Kay has always been active which has helped her keep a fairly slim frame. She enjoys spending time out in the sun, leading to her having a decent tan line. Her natural hair colour is light brown, but she dyes her long, semi-wavy tresses mostly blonde. Her eyes are a soft mix of grey and blue.
General Personality: Kay is pretty easy going. She tries to get along with everyone, even when she’s competing with them. She’s pretty active and sports-oriented. When playing sports she can get a little competitive, but she tries not to go overboard. Kay knows what it’s like to be left out, so she always tries to include everyone as best she can. She also tends to be one who encourages everyone around her. Kay is very friendly.
Kay is a very even-tempered person. It takes quite a bit to get her temper fired up, but when she gets fired up she really rockets off. But, as hard as it is to get her temper up, it’s really easy to get her to cool off. She doesn’t like to hold grudges if she can help it.
History: Kay was born in Calgary, Alberta. Her mother died when she was only 3 in a car accident. Kay’s older brother helped their dad her on the busy farm. Her father was a cattle farmer with some traditional ideas. He believed that his children should work hard and learn early how to make their own way. From the time she was big enough, Kay would help her dad with the various barn chores. As she grew older Kay had chores of her own to do before and after school. When she turned 12, Kay’s father gave her a horse of her own for her birthday. It was a gorgeous buckskin Quarter Horse that she named Cougar. Kay would ride Cougar around the farm’s property checking and fixing any breaks in the pasture fences.
In high school Kay made average grades. They were nothing to get too excited about, but they certainly were nothing to be ashamed of. She figured if she got decent grades then that would be enough since she knew nothing other than life on the farm. But when the family came on hard times financially, Kay was forced to realize that life didn’t always go as planned. Managing to graduate with near honours grades, Kay wanted to simply help out at the farm after she had finished school, but her father knew that the farm wasn’t going to be able to last much longer and had sent both Kay and her brother to live with their grandmother in Arizona. Now, Kay loved her grandmother very much, but she wasn’t one to simply sit around and let someone else take care of her. So, Kay packed up and headed out on her own, finally stumbling across Guineaville. It seemed like a peaceful little place so Kay decided this was where she would stop and make a new life for herself.
