Zadie Pierce
The sound system was blaring out loud dance music with a heavy beat to it, but Zadie wasn't quite up for dancing yet. She was still sober, and besides, what's the fun in dancing if there's noone to dance with you? She leaned on the cold black counter as she sat on the high barstool, waiting for someone to come and talk to her. She looked into her glass of Bacardi & Coke, watching the little air bubbles float up one by one. Well, this was turning out to be a great night. Zadie was here to meet new people, it was her first night in this town after moving out of her parent's place for good. Well, she was kicked out more than moved out, and now she lived alone, away from everyone, looking for a fresh start. Not saying she wasn't up for a good time though, Zadie was always up for partying and socializing, it just seemed that nobody was coming over at the moment. This was unusual, she was normally the center of attention wherever she went, perhaps she wasn't the person she thought she was. Zadie was always popular back home, she was the life of the party. Perhaps moving so far away wasn't such a great idea.
She breathed in deeply and looked up from her drink into space, burshing her long, brown hair out of her face with her right hand. She was wearing her favourite little blue bodycon dress, ready for first impressions, they were always important, and her wrist was covered in bracelets, as usual, to try and conceal the tattoo which read 'Brandon' upon her wrist. The name of her first boyfriend, a big mistake. Her heels were about four inches high, chunky and black, making her stand at about 5"10. That was pretty tall for a girl, but Zadie didn't care. Models were tall. Zadie had always dreamed of being a model, but never really got round to it. It was such a competitive thing to get into, she just didn't have to time to make the effort. She flicked her foot to the rhythm of the movement and tapped her long, red nails against her glass simultaneously. Those long nails wouldn't last long though, not with her new stallion that was arriving. She hadn't met him yet and was quite excited, yet nervous at the same time. She hadn't owned a stallion before. But she shook her head, not wanting to think about that for now, she would save that for tomorrow, live each day as it comes. Screwing up her glossed lips she considered leaving and going back to her new home, things weren't going too well here, and she didn't want to sit here on her own for much longer, people would get the wrong impression.
