DAVID ANTONIO GREENEmale - nineteen years old - intermediate rider
Appearance: David has straight, naturally brown hair that bleaches to a lighter color in the sun. He typically messes it around with mousse a bit, brushing it in his face and that, because he thinks it makes him look cooler. His eyes are usually some shade of blue, but depending on how bright it is outside, they can become lighter or darker in color. He's not particularly tall or short, 5' 7", and is on the skinnier side. When it comes to clothes, he pretty much wears whatever is popular at the mall and not "preppy," but besides that, he doesn't put too much thought into wardrobe. But he never wears a hat or helmet. He says it makes him look retarded.
General Personality: David isn't shy or really outgoing. He enjoys talking and joking, but he's not the type of person to burst out into detailed conversation with a stranger, even though he'll try his best to be friendly. He doesn't like getting involved in fights or drama; he usually tries to avoid all that crap and hang out with more serene people. Of course, that's often hard, and he usually ends up having to deal with drama and such anyways, so when that does happen, he just goes with it. He doesn't really try to change the course of things. You could say he's quite easy going. Not only is he easy going, though, but he also knows when to act like what, so you probably wouldn't see him behaving the same way at the stables as at home, or in a mall, etc. He's adaptable. He also has a little bit of an ego, and he cares what other people think about him, but usually not enough to change the way he acts all that much. He likes hanging out with people and having fun, and he absolutely hates being bored.
History: Born to a single, fairly poor mom, David's childhood was anything but glamorous. But since he didn't go to any fancy school and his friends didn't have that much more money than he did, money wasn't all that big of an issue. His school life was pretty average; he has quite a bit of simple, earthly fun. But his mother was always working, and he hardly ever saw her. They were living pay check to pay check, and when David was twelve, his mother was laid off. They suddenly were totally broke. They hardly even had any food. They were going to lose their house. David's grades plummeted and he and his mom were pretty much miserable. They were flat busted. Luckily, David's mom's sister found some space for them. Their house was taken from them, but they got their stuff out in time and moved to David's Aunt Sarah's house. But it wasn't just any house. It was a farm. Sarah wasn't particularly rich either, but she did own quite a bit of land, and she had a lot of animals. She had horses. Once David got settled into his new home, town, and school, he started taking an interest in the equines, staying out to watch them in the pasture, helping out with feeding and chores, and watching Sarah and her husband ride. He was fascinated. He wanted in. After informing his aunt of his interest, she let him ride an old gelding. David fell in love. He continued riding western until he was pretty good, able to go out and ride by himself, trusted with some of the slightly trickier horses. He rode until he moved out into his own apartment, and then he found Riverglass Ranch.
