Site Rules
Last updated June 30th, 2009.
1) Respect everyone. Don’t be rude, prejudice, etc. Just be nice.
2) Use common sense, and be realistic!
3) Swearing is allowed, as long as it isn’t directed towards a member or guest of SC.
4) Do not impersonate anyone. We have your IP addresses.
5) This site is rated PG-13. If something in your thread is on the more mature side, put an [M] in your title. But still, keep it PG-13. No porn. Ever.
6) Do not stretch the boards with pictures or un-spaced symbols.
7) Do not post ANYTHING stolen. Do not post hot-linked pictures. Put credit where credit is due. Anything having to do with stealing and stolen content will be dealt with very seriously.
8) This site is intermediate-advanced. Posts must be at least 250 words long (starting June 30th!), and of course, there's nothing wrong with posting more than that.
9) Please please please please reread your posts, check your spelling, and use the best grammar you possibly can! And put a random color at the end of your bio to prove you've read the rules.
10) Do not God-mode, power-play, or anything like that. You do not control other people’s characters. They control their characters. This means you can’t say, “Sally hit Bob in the face, and Bob died,” UNLESS the person who plays Bob says it’s okay beforehand. Use common sense here as well.
11) Mini-plots that affect the main plot, births, deaths, etc. are all fine, but they must be pre-approved by a staff member. PRE-approved. That means it happens beforehand.
12) Do not have your character in a zillion threads; we're trying to keep it pretty realistic here. Please don't have your character in anymore than five active threads.
13) No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stues. This means nobody is perfect, not even a horse. Everyone has flaws, and not everyone is super nice and sweet as sugar to every single person out there. But no total-complete-train-wreck characters either; they're annoying. Oh, yeah, and horses do not speak fluent English. Ever.
14) One character per account; your account name must be your character's name; Staff will change it if it's not. And you may only have one original horse per character/account. See the FAQ for more details on horses.
15) Every character currently only goes to Riverglass Ranch. The only time a person from another ranch is role played would be in a minor way, like in a show to say what the competition's like, to lead up to a plot, etc.
16) Rules may be changed, though everyone will be notified if that happens, and Staff has final say with everything!
17) Have fun; that's all we really want!
