Welcome to Firefly Fields, leader in equestrian boarding schools in the nation. Here in peaceful Fielding, Kentucky, students freshmen through senior year can study and learn independence while honing their equestrian skills. Some will go on to be jockies in the next Triple Crown while others will be the newest faces on the United States Equestrian Olympic Team. From the rich and talented to the poor and skilled, Firefly Fields offers scholarships to students from all across the nation to bring their two best mounts to show off their skills. Many students go on to professional riding careers while others recieve a prime education to run their own stables and become managers of some of the finest race tracks in the country.
Students enjoy weekends exploring Fielding, Kentucky and are in the saddle nearly every day while stlil getting prime classroom education. Some of the nation's finest trainers work with FFA's horses on a nearly daily basis, making sure each mount is in their prime and well maintained. Students are taught to be responsible for their own mounts as well as their own performance. Without passing grades, equestrian classes will be cut for students that begin to fall behind until their classroom grades pick up, ensuring that students understand the need for a good education balanced with managing their time to practice.
Join Student Council or Teens Against Equine Abuse to pass the time after classes. The T.A.E.A. is run by none other than academy owner Sonya Williams. As a project each year, a trouble mount will be chosen by Sonya Williams as a project to integrate the trouble horse into the school owned corral of horses lent out to less privileged students. Endurance and roping teams are among the best known in the country for their dedication and are often among the top school teams in national competition.
