he could be friends with travis? &+ i have two other characters Melissa Kenneth and Isabel Larossee, melissa and him could maybe be friends or maybe friends with bennifits more if so? haha doesn't matter isabel might be too of a bitch for him though haha. your choice :D

Hm... perhaps James and Matt could not get along at first and have kinda a 'cold indifference' towards one another at first... like, maybe be nice enough, but aren't really friends... and then possibly eventually become pretty good friends after some sort of understanding... or maybe possibly something could happen to make them re-evaluate each other and become actual friends... only it may take a while for them to become good friends? (I'm not that good at 'plotting'... lol...)
