Morgan leaned against the side of the barn as she waited for a the truck carrying her new horse to pull up. The sun was just pulling up above the horizon, indicating a time of about 6:30 or 7. The girl might not seem like it, but she was usually an early riser. Her hand grasped a warm cup of coffee. The steam was wafting from it up to her nose. Morgandy took a deep breath, relishing in the smell of fresh coffee and dew. It was a good smell. Breaking her out of her thinking was the loud engine of a truck pulling into the driveway of the barn. Ah, yes. River Rhapsody. Morgan muttered to herself. She strode up to the truck as a man jumped out of it. You Morgandy.... Vandylair? He asked her. Morgan just rolled her eyes. It's Morgandy Vandelaar. She replied, putting emphasis on her last name. And yes. I am Morgan. The man seemed to ignore her as if he went through that procedure many times. Can you just sign here? The man asked, shoving a clipboard towards her. Morgan shook her head in a disapproving way before taking the clipboard and quickly scribbling her signature on the line provided. Thanks. The man muttered as she handed it back to him. He walked to the trailer being pulled by the truck and Morgan followed. He threw the doors open, revealing the gorgeous animal hidden inside. Morgan had to resist the urge to go "Wow". The man backed the horse out from the trailer and handed the lead rope to Morgan. Thanks. Morgan said as she stroked her hand down the mare's neck. She moved away as the truck pulled out.
Morgan stood in front of the mare for a moment, letting her rub her muzzle up and down Morgandy's body. After a moment of this, she carefully led the mare into the barn. Her hooves clicked on the concrete of the barn aisle. Morgan looked left and right, searching for a stall for River's Rhapsody. Near the end of the corridor was an empty stall. Figuring this was where River would go, she lead the mare inside. The mare looked around, perhaps wondering where she was. Figuring the box stall wasn't going to hurt her, she turned her attention towards any treats Morgan might be hiding from her. Sorry girl, I don't have any treats for you. Morgan chuckled as she spoke as the mare looked up from nuzzling for treats. Morgandy couldn't wait to start riding. She really liked this horse.

She’d surprised him, Jeannie had. Angel hadn’t been in town but for a few days when he’d received a message on his phone from his adopted mother, requesting him to come back ‘home’ for a day or two. Like any good son who’d put his mum through the wringer and back, he’d went to her to see what she wanted. He hadn’t expected what he’d gotten. Well, he had, just not so soon. He’d been positive that she was going to give him about a month to get settled in, at least... But apparently not. Angel thought that he’d be annoyed with her, but instead when he thought about it, he felt only a deep affection for the woman he called his mother.
He was a few days late, but it was no ones fault. She’d forgotten to get the horses’ vaccinations and Coggins done... It had taken a few days to get the Coggins back, and he’d left as soon as it came in negative. Jeannie had gifted him with a silver and white two-horse trailer to match his truck. The trailer wasn’t new, but nor was it old and very used. In fact, it was in excellent shape. The horse that currently stood inside the trailer was young, only five years old. He was a Friesian Sporthorse, and he had the larger bone-frame, grace, and bulk of his Friesian sire, but the stubbornness, height, and coat color of his Thoroughbred dam. Seraph was tall, standing at 17 hands exactly, though he was only five, and still growing. Jeannie thought he’d end up somewhere around 17.2 hands by the time he was through. He was bulkier than his dam, though not as big as his sire, it was close. His bones were larger in mass and he held himself in such a way that at first glance it seemed as though he were smaller than he really was. His coat, unlike the jet black of his sire, was instead steel grey, his mane and tail black, though his face was lighter. He truly was a magnificent animal.
Angelus turned down the drive and pulled to the side in order to pass the large transport truck. Apparently someone had had a horse delivered. He grinned at the mental picture of a gift-wrapped box being delivered complete with a neighing, prancing horse inside as he pulled into an out-of-the-way area and cut the engine.
Leaving the key in the ignition and the windows rolled down, he slammed the door behind him after exiting the blue and silver ford F-150 extended cab truck. Inside the trailer, Seraph seemed to know that the long ride was over and pawed at the trailer-wall, his shoes making a loud racket as they made contact.
“Hold your horses, I’m coming.” Angel called while unlatching the trailer door and tying it back. He stepped back to marvel at Seraph’s beauty as the horse shifted, turning his head towards the light as much as the trailer tie would allow. Angel was still unsure just why Jeannie had gifted him with the horse. Surely she could have given him some old nag, any other horse but her ‘pride and joy’... Still though, that wasn’t saying that he didn’t appreciate it.
Angel said not another word as he stepped up into the trailer and unhooked the tie. He caught Seraph’s burgundy halter and snapped a matching lead onto it before the horse could move. “Backup.” The command was said softly, almost a mutter. Angel just wanted to get this done with so he could hopefully go home and go to sleep... after he checked on his dog, of course.
Seraph eagerly stepped back down off the trailer and into the sunlight, looking around eagerly as soon as he hit the ground. The steel grey of his coat gleamed with sweat from where he’d worked himself up as he danced around his handler and owner. His ears flicked ever which ways, taking in the new sounds. He was nervous, excited, and curious, but he still followed after angel when the red haired young man led him towards the barn. Comments: A bit hard to write, but fun... Morgan chuckled as Rap blew air through her nose. Although Morgan had only officially "owned" her for a couple of days, she had gotten to know her when she visited the stable she bought her from. It seemed like the two had already started forming a connection. Morgan smiled at the thought. She snapped out of her thinking as Rap fell to her knees and started rolling around inside the stall. Morgan laughed. Why are you so silly? She asked the mare. The spotted horse stood up again, looking like a foal just learning how to stand. Suddenly her ears perked up and she jutted her head out of her stall to gaze at something Morgan couldn't see. A couple of seconds later, a blue and silver truck pulled up. Morgan couldn't see who was driving the truck, but she could see the horse trailer being pulled behind it. Ah, a new arrival? Or someone picking up a horse. Morgan thought about it while absent-mindedly stroking River's nose.
She watched as a young man of around her own age, perhaps a little older, got out of the truck and went around to the trailer. She heard the doors of the trailer open and a giant horse being backed out of it. That is a big horse. was all Morgan thought as he was being backed out. She watched the two as the man led his, assuming, horse up the walkway into the stables. Uh, hey! I'm guessing you are boarding your horse here? She asked him, nodding to the giant of a horse he was leading. I'm also boarding my horse, River, here. Seems like a nice enough place. Morgan smiled, but on the inside she smacked herself for her attempt at talking.

Seraph jigged in circled around Angel as the young man attempted to lead him towards the barn. Angel stepped back and gave the young gelding more lead, allowing the steel grey to circle around, paw, snort, and gaze around curiously for a few minutes. As soon as the gelding stood still for a moment, Angel reeled him back in, taking ahold of his lead right below the bullsnap. “Seraph...” The redhead sighed as the horse once more started to jig in place, swishing his tail eagerly. Whatever Angel said next was drowned out as the gelding neighed loudly, his deep holler sounding out across the area.
“Are you done now?” Angel asked the horse, his tone exasperated though fond. Seraph swished his long black tail and butted his head against Angel’s arm gently, leaving a few grey strands of hair on the young mans black t-shirt. He then tugged at the short lead he was on, wanting to move. The redhead turned and tugged the big horse on towards the barn, enjoying the slight shade that the barn provided as they entered the wide aisle. Both Angel and Seraph took notice of the girl, though Seraph’s attention was more focused on the mare. The big Sporthorse whickered a greeting, pulling forwards to try and get close enough to examine the mare.
“Hey...” Angel said without looking at the girl. His pale green eyes scanned the barn, looking for another empty stall. He didn’t see one immediately, so asked. “Yes, I’m boarding Seraph here... Is there another stall on the other side?” He questioned point blank like, gesturing towards the stall that the mare was in. He supposed that he should try to make friends, even though he was horrid at it. “I suppose it’s a nice place. Really, what constitutes to ‘nice’? Everyone’s views are different. It seems to be nicer than the barn I took lessons at when I was eight.” That was his way of saying it was a nice place, though to some, if they couldn’t read between the lines, it would appear as though he only thought of the stables as mediocre. Angel shifted uncomfortably, pushing Seraph’s head away when the horse turned to lip at his long hair. “Were you the one who had the horse delivered? I passed the transport truck. She’s a cute mare.” He correctly guessed that the horse belonged to the girl. It was also easy to tell that the horse was a mare, as she had a definate feminime build to her, even though she was a little bulky. Wordcount: 386 Muse: Good Notes: N/A

Morgandy watched as the young man wrestled with his large horse to walk him into the stable aisle.
Seraph... nice name. Morgan thought as he spoke his horses name. Yeah, I think there is an empty stall on the other side. Morgan replied to his question, pointing towards it. the young man started to speak about what 'nice' really was and Morgan just stood and listened. The young man was obviously a 'thinker' as she liked to call them. Those who over thought things, who couldn't just live in the moment. Not that it was a bad thing. He was done talking and as far as Morgan could tell, he did in fact think the stable was a nice place. The red head asked her if she had her horse delivered. Morgan laughed a little, she probably seemed... amateur having a horse delivered to a stable. Yes, I had Rap... Rivers Rhapsody, delivered. I bought her from another stable when I came out here... and because I don't have a trailer yet, a delivery was the only way to get her out here. Morgan explained to him. And thanks. She responded as he called River cute. Morgan stroked Rap's neck as her head was jutting out the stall trying to get a look at the other horse. Morgan quickly realized that she didn't yet know his name, nor him hers. By the way, I'm Morgan. She told him. And yours?
