[font=Times New RomanMIDNIGHT ACRESmother natures wrath
Mother Nature never had it planned for her custom-made society to be so violent. She'd been looking on for numerous years, pleased that we'd managed to live beside each other, unharmed, untouched. Unfortunately, those times did not last; equine began to spar for supreme powers that were out of their reach. The petty battles were suddenly launched into a mindless era of war - and the equine were split into three alliances. Each had a different idea of what a perfect world was, and they clashed with each other, sometimes reaching the point of death.
This wasn't what Mother Nature wanted.
She viewed this horrific display for several years, shocked that the years of peace had been long forgotten. What exactly were they trying to gain? World Power? Supremacy? The greed of that prize had driven them mad! Mother Nature despised this new ruling system; it was as if the world itself was falling apart without her leadership. She had once ruled over the land of Midnight Acres with a capable king beside her, Dio. They shared the same dreams for what their kingdom would be. The pair worked in perfect harmony; the equine below respected them but also treated them like they were friends, which was the major goal in their kingdom. It appeared to be working, until tragedy struck.
Something wasn't right.
It had been rumored that Dio had died - of natural causes, of course. After all, he was an older stallion, and he was losing his charming ways. The mourning process was brief, and everyone came to terms with the legend's death.. Everyone but Mother Nature herself. The death was a shocking blow, and the great leader went into hiding. Something about the whole matter was troubling for her, the way that the rest of the herds had split up just a short time after the burial of their leader. Mother Nature, unable to handle with her own mourning, added with the equine's new behavior, went into hiding to investigate, and didn't show her face for many years. It was as if the equine forgot about the legacy that Dio and Mother Nature lay down, and thus, the wars began.
They made a grave mistake.
The past ruling of Mother Nature and Dio was forgotten; and the world was split into three main alliances. Those who wanted to remain basked in the sun and formed a hate against those who opposed of their ways. The others formed a dark alliance who lived on the ways of their rage. Those who didn't fit in either group were forced to become outcasts - and they were honestly the only ones who lived by Mother Nature's past rules. The Lights and the Dark did not mix, and the pairs began to strike; sometimes they would steal the others' children, and sometimes they would begin all out wars. It was a devastating loss to the equine, and often times, bodies of the deceased would lay out as prizes, showing just who ruled over who. Somewhere along the way, it was mentioned that Dio's death was a set-up; that the stallion had to be killed in order for others to gain supremacy.
She would get her revenge.
Mother Nature had finally reached a conclusion to the death of her mate - he was murdered. Murdered by the society who now bickered and challenged each other. She was no longer going to see the ones she used to love dearly fight like this. So she saw a fit punishment for the equine, something so ironic inside itself - death. Mother Nature was going to wipe out the equine species on Midnight Acres and start anew with those who would truly carry on the legacy that she'd intended. For weeks, she inflicted her punishment on those who'd started the fighting themselves, killing those who tried to defy her ruling. Equine were wiped out by 'natural' disasters. The lands that they lived in were suddenly struck with earthquakes, and they disappeared without a trace. Mother Nature had truly inflicted her wrath on the demised.
Few were able to escape.
After weeks of torment, Mother Nature saw it fit to grace few with life. The younger generation was left untouched, for they could be changed easily. Thus, in the rubble of Midnight Acres, Mother Nature will begin to rebuild her empire - in the way that she wants it to be. Will you be wise and follow her in her quest to regain peace; avoiding all consequences? Or will you try to take the power away from her, and gain it for yourself? Come join and find out.
