Full Name: Leslie Damien Parker Age: 17 Gender: Male Riding Level: Advanced
Appearance: Leslie, or Parker, as he prefers to be called, though he also goes by ‘Lez’, is average, that’s all there is to it, though he is cute in his own rugged way. He stands at exactly six feet and has a toned, lightly muscled body. His skin is slightly tanned and he has short brown hair. He usually keeps his hair cut in a buzz-cut, but lately he’s been letting it grow out, so his hair is a bit longer, but still short. There’s nothing spectacular about his deep brown eyes besides the fact that they’re rather expressive and he wears contacts. His facial structure is a little rough around the edges, like him, and he has a normal bone-frame. He’s thin, as he doesn’t eat much and he looks like he’d be a very fast runner, which he is.
Parker likes comfort clothes and he’s never gone for looks over comfort. He really likes camouflage clothes, though the color black isn’t very far behind. He doesn’t accessorize like some guys do and, at most, only wears a ‘dog tag’ necklace that belonged to his grandfather, a chain on his pants every now and then, and a wristband or watch. He usually keeps a multitude of things in his pockets if he’s wearing cargo pants... an iPod, a Nintendo DS, an old digital camera that he bought years ago, a faded picture of him and his sister standing in front of a swing-set that was taken just a few weeks before it was found out that she had cancer, his wallet, and a pack of chewing gum and cigarettes, as he took up smoking roughly two years ago, though he's not a chain smoker by any means.
General Personality: Parker is a little rough around the edges at first, but once you get past his outer layer, he’s a pretty nice guy. He keeps himself somewhat distanced from other people due to the losses he suffered early in his life because he is scared of being hurt like that again. He’s a risk-taker, though, and finds nothing is more fun than doing something that could potentially get him killed or injured and coming out on top. He’s an adrenaline junkie when it comes down to it. He loves to go fast, whether it’s on a horse or in a car or whatever... as long as it goes fast, he enjoys it. He’s gotten quite a many speeding tickets, but according to him, they’re well worth it. Parker can be a right jerk when the mood hits and he has absolutely no problems with hitting or fighting girls, sometimes he even throws the first punch when it’s a girl he’s facing. He enjoys fighting, specifically fist-fighting, as it helps him to blow off steam. Lez is more than a bit rude to people when he’s annoyed, frustrated, or irritated... it’s jut something that you have to overlook. However, on the up side, he can be a right gentleman when the time calls for it and a girl who catches his eye will find herself treated like a princess. Once he warms up to a person, Parker will protect them fiercely, whether they want or need protecting or not. He’s very loyal. He’s also truthful and will speak his mind, good or bad. He also has a very strong Aussie accent.
History: Leslie Damien Parker was born to Devon and Colette Parker of Perth, Australia on June 1st, ’92. He was their second child, as they already had a five year old daughter named Jenna. He was raised in the city. When he was six, Parker started taking riding lessons after visiting the local barn to watch his sisters lesson. His sister had been taking lessons since she was five and riding was her passion. Parker loved riding, though he was never interested in showing like his sister was... he enjoyed riding the trails with his only sibling; the two were very close. When Parker was eight, his sister was diagnosed with brain cancer. She died a little over a year later in the hospital during surgery. Parker was devastated and refused to go back to the barn. He quit taking riding lessons and shut himself off from the world, mourning and moping over the death of his best friend. Parker didn’t so much as look at another horse until he was eleven because the animals reminded him so much of his sister and how she used to enjoy riding so much. His parents were happy when he announced that he wanted to ride again. They immediately bought him the lessons and a horse, a pure white Arabian mare named Sassafras. Parker enjoyed riding and began learning how to jump, however, just a few short months later he and Sassy took a fall over a jump. Parker came out unhurt but very badly shaken up... Sassy had to be put down due to a broken leg. Parker, then twelve, went off riding again, not wanting to suffer anymore losses. The next few years he just went wild. His parents often disagreed on how to handle him, and in the end they divorced and his mother moved back to her homeland of America. Parker was pretty much given free reign by his dad. His grades dropped dramatically and he hung out with some of the worst people in and out of school. He became a nightmare, coming in late and sometimes not at all, leaving early... his dad often got calls from the people who lived in the apartments above or below them, complaining about Parker’s behavior, late night habits, or obscenely loud music. Only after Devon had to pick his son up from the police station did he start cracking down on Parker. The teenager was threatened with juvie and boot camp, but it did nothing to make him listen. The scene with the police station happened many more times until Devon, in a stroke of brilliance, came to the realization that maybe his son felt like he was suffocating, maybe Parker was just trying to grab a line... maybe living in the same place where his sister died, where his first horse died... maybe it was just too much, as he was around reminders all the time. Devon decided to send his son to America to live with his mother, hoping that a new start was all that the teenager needed. Parker moved in with his mum just months later in the small town of Guineaville, which was where his mum had settled after moving back to her homeland, as her great grandparents had given her a small house on the edge of the town before they died. The teenager was restless the first few weeks until he found the local stable. Parker began hanging out at the stable daily, just watching everyone ride, never interacting with anyone. He thought that his presence went unnoticed, but it didn’t. His mum noticed where he disappeared off to and decided that maybe, just maybe Parker would want to take up riding again. She surprised him with a horse that she’d gotten for a mere five hundred dollars off a young couple wanting quick money. The mare was a bay Dutch Warmblood named ‘Packaged Elegance’ or ‘Galatea’/‘Tea’. Parker refused to ride at first, but after thinking about it, he realized that there was no better way to keep his sisters memory alive than by doing the thing she liked most... and he knew that his sister wouldn’t have wanted him to quit riding just because of a few hurdles that got in the way. However, as Parker messed with and got to know Tea, it became very apparent that the people who sold the mare to his mum had lied about quite a few things concerning her.
