KENDALL GRAY PATTERSON Age: twenty one Gender: female Riding Level: Advanced Appearance: Kendall by build was pretty average. Not very tall, but clearly athletic, with a physically healthy shape and decently muscled from riding and running, being a foster child to two FBI agents. She had a generally pretty faced she was. Long brown hair framed a smooth pale face with full lips and almond eyes. Standing at 5'2'' she was short for a rider, but she was fit and strong enough to ride well. She weighted around 112, off and on. She liked to eat, but an active life kept her fit and a healthy weight as far as that went. Skin was slightly tanned but naturally pale from Irish/Swedish blood, unknown to her. Features were all chiseled with high cheek bones and a slightly pointed nose, lips were full, along with nice arched eye brows. The pretty face was half ruined because of a scar that slid mostly faded down her face, from left eye almost to her jaw. A bit of heavy makeup would cover it mostly. Speaking of which she rarely wore makeup, only for her scar and maybe a bit more if going to some social event. She looked pretty much normal and kind of dull. Normal attire was cargo pants and a t shirt, clothes for riding varied from what she was doing. For a trail ride there was no need to change out of normal clothes, for a jumping event she would wear breeches and her green dress coat and black riding boots.
General Personality:
Personality wise she was a bit zany. Kind of out there and a bit wayward.
She did have a anger problem. When she got upset, very upset, she tended to say things that were better left unsaid. Fighting was not out of reach either. She has caused fist fights in the past from her anger issue. Therapy didn't help any, she just naturally got angry and violent or rude to put it lightly. Swearing at you didn't bother her any. She normally felt bad in the end but was to prideful to admit such thing. Pride was another thing she held every high up. Pride was almost everything, she would be hard pressed to admit she was wrong about something or if she made a mistake. It also helped her high confidence level, she would walk with her head held high with both pride and confidence. She felt no guilt in being prideful. Hard hearted was one of her issues, also. She would feel things inside but no want to show them on the outside. Even at her foster fathers funeral she didn't shed a tear. Crying was a useless emotion to her. Pride was another factor in this, she never wanted to seem weak. No faults. Gotta stand strong and shut up the emotions. She was stubborn as hell too and just as hard headed. She was one tracked, she wasn't gonna move on something she believed or thought, or at least not easily. If she thought something was right there was no changing her mind. You might have better luck telling a wall what you thought, she was too damn stubborn. Of course she had more than a bunch of bad characters and traits. She was laid back and calm in most places. She loved to ride, riding was her life. She wanted to be as good as Beezie Madden and all of them. She loved horses and riding and would work night and day to improve herself and the horse. Of her passions training was one of them, that and jumping. She loved to train horses from foals. Teach them trust and as they got older she could teach them to jump. She cared about bloodlines only so much as health problems. A equine with bad joints wouldn't be much of a jumper. Jumping. That was one of those things she loved more than anything else, was to ride and jump her horse. Of her good traits, loyalty was one of the more forgotten ones. To her friends, lovers, family, anyone she cared about she would be loyal to no end. It didn't mean she wouldn't get mad at you, that was your issue to figure out how to keep her from flipping out on you. But she would be loyal. Relationships were a problem. She wasn't very good at them. She was blunt and honest and would tell you what she thought. She didn't lie just to make you feel better, if you did something she thought something about it, you would know it if you asked or she felt it needed to be said. That made any type of relationship a bit difficult for her. & that is Kendall.
History:
Margret and Thomas both worked for the FBI as field agents. After ten years of marriage the couple decided having a child would be nice, sadly Margret was barren. They adopted thirteen year old, Kendall. Before such things happened to her Kendall had been going from home to home in foster care. They way things had been going she was one of those kinds bound to end up the streets in some gang. It all started with anger management issues she seemed to have which turned into damaging items in the foster families houses'. When she finally ended up in the mercy of Margret and Thomas she was set to run away. The system was one of those places that effects a kid to no end. They watch kids go home to brothers and sisters and parents that all love them and what did she get? To be a burden to every family they placed her in. It was only a stroke of luck that Margret and Thomas picked her up when they did. Something about being in foster care with two FBI agents keeps a kid in line. Oh, she tried a few times to run away only to get caught time after time by a angry Margret or Thomas or Uncle Clem, who was a New York Cop. The main rule became in the house was physical work. You would jog a mile a day. You would take out the trash. You would mow the lawn. You would life weights once a day. You would do exercise with Margret every day. You would get good grades in school. If Kendall didn't she soon found out it got worse, more chores, another miles, two times a day for lifting. Which happened more than not with her rule breaking. But after making mistake time after time she began to notice that running two miles or one was easy. She had been slightly over weight before, now she was thin and wry. She went to bed at eight with no complaints. She had no free time as a teenager unless she was "good" for a few weeks. By the time she hit seventeen she was in prime shape and already her foster parents boss was interested in hiring her for training in FBI- a chance most seventeen year old never would get and she didn't want that. She found out about her passion for horses when she was younger. She loved to watch them on TV, and Thomas had notice that one day, the day before she turned sixteen. A stable in the outskirts of new york soon became her hide away with her riding school horse, Pepper, and all the other creatures. She took to riding with ease and was in small competitions by the time she was seventeen. She got better and better, she worked everyday after school and her homework. Pepper was a ten year old Thoroughbred cross and was perfect for her jumping. When she was eighteen she won her first award. Her pride and ego jumped and so did her skills in riding. She just kept working and getting better. Her scars came all at once, in a jumping competition, she fell and somehow right onto the jump. The incident left a thin scar along her cheek and small ones along her hands which in time would fade away. Turning twenty was both sad and good. Thomas was murdered by a gang in New York. Kendall left New York after that to live River Glass Ranch to further her career and attempt to become a trainer. And she was going to make the most of it and try to suceed in her goal.
