This is Guineaville. It's one of those everyone-knows-everyone towns where the roads are surrounded by corn and you have to drive for hours before you get to anywhere interesting; most people only end up here if they're lost. Not the Redds, though. They had come to this town on purpose, because they had seen potential. They thought it had potential to become a horse town.
Thirty years ago, Rivers Ranch was built with hopes of it becoming the home of champions. The Redds, prouder than ever, had opened the doors to the public and waited for the farm to become famous. But the people had fiercely rejected such an idea. They liked their town as it was: small and unknown. It's how it had always been, and people don't like change. So the population had rebelled against the new stables until Rivers Ranch was forced to shut down.
Twenty five years passed. The town didn't change one bit, and the Redds continued to live there, though they stayed quiet after the incident with Rivers Ranch. One of their oldest daughters, Melena, took to liking horses like her grandparents did, and one day she heard the story of RR from her grandmother. Melena was fascinated. And suddenly, she knew what she wanted to do with her life.
She had the dream, she had the passion, and she had Daddy's money; that's all it took for Riverglass Ranch to be built. The news spread slowly, and the stables has become anything but famous, but people are starting to trickle in and join. Friendships will form, love will blossom, and the competition will get fierce. And then, there's always the possibility the town will rebel again; history tends to repeat itself.
What's the worse that could happen?
